Eight years after creating the first and still most successful SCS™ system, PROTO introduces the next-generation Sentinel SCS™. This clamp delivers the most technically advanced solution yet for riders who won’t settle for average. Standing at 3.5" tall, it provides a full 2" of handlebar support — over 30% more than traditional 3" SCS™ clamps. That extra height makes it ideal for today’s increasingly taller bars.
The Sentinel features larger 8mm bolts with 6mm Allen heads and an offset slot design that allows for 25% more thread engagement. This results in higher torque, lower risk of stripping, and a clamp that stays tight longer than any other SCS™ on the market. The tapered top and base, along with two strategic cutouts, reduce unnecessary material and keep the weight impressively low despite the added height.
A brand-new feature called the Spreader-Bolt makes clamp installation and removal easier than ever — completely eliminating the old “penny trick.” And finally, the SCS™ logo is placed in the symbolic “third eye” position, framed by a crown of thorns to represent enlightenment, protection, and a commitment to pushing scooter design forward.
