The Federal Stance XL rim is a modern street BMX component built with today’s riding styles in mind. Instead of following the traditional narrow rim design, it uses a wider 40 mm profile that works better with modern larger tyres. This not only gives the wheel a fuller and more aggressive look, but also helps the tyre maintain a more stable shape under heavy load.
Federal reinforced the structure in several important areas. The triple box section creates a stiffer and more solid feel while improving resistance against side flex and hard impacts. Around the spoke holes, additional material thickness helps reduce the risk of spokes pulling through the rim after long-term heavy use.
The use of 6066 aluminium is also a deliberate choice. Compared to standard 6061 alloys, it offers increased strength and durability while still keeping the weight under control. The lower sidewall height gives the rim a more modern wide-profile appearance, while the internal shape helps keep the tyre securely seated even at higher pressures.
The welded seam construction provides a tighter and more precise overall feel, and the included XL rim tape makes wheel building easier straight out of the box.
